Large Beetle

I ran into this guy walking down Chicon street. It was one of those slightly awkward moments when you find yourself walking next to someone at exactly the same pace and so its like you're walking together even though you don't actually know eachother. At first I was worried he thought I was trying to pick him up or something. Eventually we got to talking and he let me take a portrait. I used my hand as a reference but, in case you didn't know, I have the biggest hands in the world. Also, I had been grubbing around in the dirt in search of animalitos, so the fingernails are a bit dirty.

Attractive bug you found there. I am intrigued by your methods. How do you convince these varied creatures to let you take pictures of them? I am unafraid to tell you I suspect unethical procedures.

If I were you, I would have unknowingly stepped on the little fellow and never looked back.

Jeany, I would ask that you be more careful around our animal friends!

Chuy, My next post explains, in part, how I manage to meet so many creatures.
