A Cardinal Feeding Its Baby

On my trip to Ink's Lake earlier this summer, I witnessed this touching scene between a Cardinal and its offspring. I took tons of shots, but these two give the general idea.

The World's Smallest Opossum

I ran into this baby opossum on the campus of the University of Texas, Austin. He was probably the tiniest opossum I have ever seen. This cup he is investigating is a small styrofoam coffee cup. Imagine that! Opossums are the only marsupials native to North America.

More Awesomeness

Sometimes I even amaze myself with these sweet sweet animal photographs. Rock.

P.S. There is definitely some reason he is sticking his huge schnoz into the gravel. But I'm not sure what it is....

Anime

This anime goldfish creature belongs to my old friends Dan and Ellen. Happy voting!

KITTENS!

Well, its been a long week of creepy spiders. I know some of you wont like this, but I've decided to clean the animal palate with a picture of a cute Kitten. Here Kevin is holding "Smokey" (I think thats his name). Kevin was working at Ruby's BBQ and Smokey was their new mascot. Although, from the looks of it, this kitten might be destined for the BBQ pit. Thats some quality meat Kevin!

Gluttony

In case you were wondering, this is not a picture of the worlds ugliest dog.

I was enjoying some beef ribs at Salem and Scrappy's house over the weekend. After i was done I threw the bones in a paper bag in the garbage can and went down to the corner store with Tim to get some beers. This was the scene that greeted us upon our return. Scrappy stayed like this for quite some time. He was still as a statue until he eventually licked his way through the bag and to freedom.

Meet Auggie

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Auggie the Hedgehog over the weekend. He was so photogenic that I regreted the three photo limit on my posts. Nevertheless, I hope this series shows his incredible ability to turn from a ball of spines into a hedgehog. A true master of disguise he also can pass as an ENGLISH LORD, an EMO KID, or a CATHOLIC POPE.

New England Rabbit

Contrary to what some people say, rabbits are not rodents. This is probably only one of the reasons they are delicious. I snapped this little fellow in the summer of '06 with my mom's digital camera. He thought that if he stood very still I wouldn't get him, but I did.
Scrappy and Salem in a blanket. Even though they tried to kill Gerty, these are two animals I have truly loved.
