Austin Zoo Deer

This one was a cutey. Have a great Friday Night! And listen to NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday if you want to hear about the Texas Death Penalty!`

A Mysterious Beast at the Heart of the Forest

I was returning from Enchanted Rock when I spotted a mighty stag in this clearing. Great power was present, swirling around this creature bathed in light. Saint Eustace was not the first man visited by this mystical beast. Since long before the time of Attila the Hun the Stag has been with us.

Young Buck

One of my grandfathers was named "Buck."
I met this inquisitive young fellow climbing Emory Peek in Big Bend National Park. I had gone to explore a camp site high up the mountain and found it had been raided the previous night by wild creatures. The only one remaining was this dude here. He was chomping on some leaves of some sort.
I got the sense that this one would grow to become a leader among Deer.
I have just tried some google research on "young buck." It appears that he is also a rap singer from the wrong side of the tracks.
