I'm not sure this spider is actually currently building a web. At first it appears that her hind legs are pulling silk out. Upon review I believe that she is just maxin. I know that when I kick back I often cross my legs in a similar fashion.
Thanks for continuing to maintain SPIDERS at the forefront of people's lobes. This shi' is serious and peeps need to recognize that SPIDERS are our allies (not necessarily friends) in the global and eternal struggle against the pestilence that are bugs.
The "perfect trap"--LOL, that's a good one. You are too much, MJB, too much!!
Welcome to my new photo blog! I am hoping to use this outlet to explore a side of myself that many of you may not be familiar with. I am an AMATEUR NATURALIST. In the last few years I have come across many different fascinating animal species and taken some compelling photos. Please let me share my experiences with you.

I like the spider's "fake face" on it's thorax.
Defense, face!
