Turkey Vulture

"Thought I saw an eagle, but it might have been a vulture, well I never could decide." So goes the line from a classic Leonard Cohen tune. In the case of this Turkey Vulture, I can honestly say I did not have the same problem.

The worst part about taking pictures of this vulture was the stink coming from his food. So gross that the grossness really messed up my appetite for the lunch I was heading to. It was fried chicken (my lunch, not his).

This is the first up close interview I've done with a Turkey Vulture. Of course Sasha and I did once hang with some others Vultures way back in the day by Ink's lake.

Was that local? Years ago, I saw a vulture eating a cat in the middle of Ardenwood Rd, north of Fiesta.

Chris, this was right on Duval, about a block north of 38 1/2 street. I've only twice seen other turkey Vs eating their lunch in such proximity to humans since I moved here.

Also gotta give you kudos for being the first non computer program that's commented on my posts in the last year. Thanks!!!
