I was sitting at a picnic table, wondering where my next picture would come from when this crazy cicada fell out of a tree and started freaking out all around me. After a while I realized that it was locked in mortal combat with some type of stick bug. They wrastled for ten rounds, finally the cicada managed to get himself free. Both bugs were so tired out from their fight that they just lay on the table, catching their breath through their tiny breathing holes on the sides of their bodies (sphiricals?). It was then that I snapped this picture. Anyone know what kind of stick bug this is? I encourage you to CLICK TO ENLARGE.

Man, you oughta try to get a job with National Geographic or one of those. Some real good ass photography here.
well my my, it clicked to enlarge so Big.
the action shot is nice but your picture lacks depth of field. and framing. but cenetered bugs should railroad you into a sweet photo Nat Geo job.
Hmm. It appears that everyone is a critic. But it also appears that Mikeanimal is a better critic. MY PHOTOS ROCK!!!!!
The blurriness in the fore and background of this picture giveis it a trippy 3-d quality that I like. Also the green leaves are radiating real sunlight out of your computer.
For shots like this, you really change your settings to "macro". I thought you knew this? I'll give you an E for effort though.
DAMNIT!!!!!
Any hance the skinny guy is a waterscorpian, and not a walking stick?
Si Si. Good call my long lost neighbor! I have investigated your suggestion. It looks a helluva lot like a water scorpion, but it seems to have wings, and no whip like tail. My term "stick bug" was purposefully vague because it doesn't really look like a walking stick either. Thanks for the tip.
