Animals that Have Been Dead Basically Forever

An animal doesn't have to be alive to be cool to hang with! Here is my collection of fossils that I have personally found along Shoal Creek off Lamar Street. I think the snail-like ones are called ammonites. The others look like Oysters. The reason there are so many ammonite fossils is this: after the animal died it fell to the sea bottom and the non-shell part of it decomposed. That decomposition somehow caused a mineral buildup that was responsible for petrification. At least thats what it says in another part of the internet, so I hope that part of the internet was right or we're all screwed!
ADDED BONUS! If you think fossils are boring I've strategically placed a few other things in this pic for your amusement. As always CLICK ON THE PICTURE TO ENLARGE.

I read an article that explained how you can make a luxurious facial mask by grinding up old fossils like these and mixing it with a bit of water, macadamia nut oil, grapeseed extract, and lemon zest. What do you think MJB?

Glossing right over Jeany's proposal that I grind up my fossil collection, I'd like to congratulate Mikeanimal on his taste in undies.
On second thought. Jeany, could you link us to that recipe?

From todays AP wire:

BEIJING - Villagers in central China dug up a ton of dinosaur bones and boiled them in soup or ground them into powder for traditional medicine, believing they were from flying dragons and had healing powers.

Sissy, I am assuming that you've forwarded this observation about my fossils as part of your quest to get intelligent design equal time in the classroom.
